Well, since I can remember, I have been interested in medical information. However, in my younger years, I thought I should be in business school. So I received a degree in business and landed a good job! I was doing fine, but still felt drawn to medical “stuff.”
I was curious about becoming an Occupational Therapist. I looked into the additional schooling needed. Then I thought, well I am interested, but I am doing fine at my current job and I do not need to go back to school in my 30’s for another degree!!!!
THEN MY LIFE CHANGED: I was in a serious automobile accident as a passenger. I was plucked from the wreckage with the jaws of life, or so I am told. All I remember was waking up on a life support!!! I had fractured bones in my legs, I had 4 fractures in the left side of my jaw and had to have 10 hours of jaw surgery. Over the next year, I would follow up with a litany of dental, orthodontic, periodontal specialists along with bone grafts to repair my jaw. Once the jaw was healed, I then proceeded to have what ended up to be 3 back surgeries.
So, I must tell you I DO understand pain!!!
Whewwww!!!! That is a lot to take-in let alone go through!!! After healing, I did want to help others eliminate or reduce their pain, so I became an Occupational Therapist. I worked with people in a variety of settings such as out-patient orthopedic, work hardening, and ergonomics and assisted them in alleviating their pain or discomfort.
I BELIEVE the accident and all my knowledge has brought me to my final life path as a ~ MEDICAL INTUITIVE HEALER ~
